What does Bible say about Divorce and remarriage?

Craving for change is unquenchable thirst for mankind.   Everybody  is eager for change and change has become so  important that plays a vital part in our  day today life . We like to change our furniture, cell phone and houses  and like wise  relationship has taken a toll  today. Divorce and remarriage has become so fashionable in the world we live in  and   is becoming so  common  among pentecostal  Christians  .
Divorce are longer a sickness contracted by movie stars and politicians and it is  contracted by all walks of lives including bible believing Christians. It has become  so acceptable in the social world and in the churches as marriage is no more a sacred covenant and it has become a social contract. What God has called a COVENANT  until " death  do part ", Man has changed to a CONTRACT till the 2 parties live in good terms .
We live in a cultural stigma where biblical values were challenged ,pulled down and thrown up and tossed up like a  salad  and many Christians were in the crossroad and confused where to head up ?  Divorce  has become so cheap as it is advertised by lawyers that   the fee   is few hundred only.
Does Divorce is a God's  plan ?
NO,certainly not . why?  In Mat 19;8  "but  from the beginning it was not so". So it was not divinely ordained  and there is no indication in the Bible suggesting that God introduced divorce after the fall of man . so Divorce is " man made". Divorce is ultimately human rejection and disobedience of God's divine plan.
I cor 7;39 "The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband  liveth"  So Divorce  could not be done according to the Bible as long as husband or wife live

Old testament law
In the old testament ,God laid down some laws to protect the divorcees  Deut 24;1-4 and it has become so common in the Moses time that a husband can divorce his wife without any reason.  So  Jesus pointed out that these laws were given due to hardness of  people's heart Mat 19;8. So Moses laid down some rules for divorce .  Moses wanted to end the evil of divorce by giving a bill of divorcement to his wife by her husband to protect her. This concession provided protection for the divorced wife when man's evil ways violated God's plan and it doesn't alter God's original plan for marriage to be holy .
Book of Malachi

Jews were forbidden to marry  gentiles .Many jews married heathen women when they were under captivity of babylonian ,medo persia kingdom. Ezra and nehemiah ordered to be separated from their foreign wives. Ezra 10;10-11, Neh 13.30
Moses,Joseph married foreign  women. God raised the prophet Malachi and said that He hateth divorce Mal 2;16.
Mal2;14 "yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant" and 15 "did not he make one?
God wants to restore fellowship with his people.
Exception clause
Math 5;32 'whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever marry her that is divorced committeth  adultery.
Sexual relationship is an integral part of marital bond and if any breaking that bond by having sexual relationship outside marriage is permissible for divorce. if the spouse is unrepentant and continues in living in sin, then  Mat 19;9 can be applied.

Reconciliation and forgiveness
Eph 4;32 "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you".
God has forgiven more and we are called to follow  HIM and HIS character should be  found in us.
Any form of marital unfaithfulness through God's grace and by reconciliation and forgiveness, one can rebuild their broken relationship .Divorce  might appear to be a  solution , but in divine perspective ,change of heart and humility to forgive  would enable to move forward.God would heal the marriage and settles beautifully. It will be a witness  and children lives  and future will not be in shambles.
Consequences of Divorce
Children are the gift of GOD and parents are accountable to God.  children don't have the choice to choose their parents!!  Parents!! beware! God will make you responsible for your children's soul and every wrong action you commit.
Children of the parents who are in the process of divorce go through inexplicable pain. God's beauty of family life is snatched from their  lives for ever!!. peace, joy and happiness were lost .They go through untold mental, psychological and social stress and misery. They fall prey easily to violence, drugs and all anti social activities.
God has set the family  as the first instituion to raise Godly children
Final Thoughts
Any form of sexual act before  marriage and extra marital relationship outside marriage is sin
Pray and  seek God for guidance and  direction to  choose the right person to marry
Seek guidance from elders and Eleazar's
Not only it determines Your eternity for leading a holy life , you are responsible for your seed too
it is important to understand that salvation does not free us or excuse us from all the foolish and sinful decisions we made before coming to faith in Christ.
salvation does not free us or excuse us from all the foolish and sinful decisions we made before or after coming to faith in Christ.

Once saved, ever saved?

Can a Christian lose salvation
Adam had a close fellowship with God and when he was deceived by satan ,he was driven out of
garden of Eden and Angels guarded the garden of eden. When the old testaments saints
disobeyed or sinned ,they had lost fellowship with God . David ,the man after God's own heart
committed sin and when he cried to God and  upon repentance , God forgave him and the Lord
Jesus is called the son of David . But Saul the first king of Israel was unrepentant and was
removed from kingship and his life reflects how one's unrepentant ending would be . So
when ever the old testaments saints sinned against God, they lost fellowship and communion
with God. Right from the beginning, God has given the free will for mankind to choose the good or  evil. Upon salvation , one has to choose to remain in salvation till God's coming or home
calling
We are all saved by HIS grace. if one continues in sin ,grace abounds ,but if such person
dies while living in sin, will that person  inherit the kingdom of God? If we have heard the Gospel of Jesus
Christ, then God will hold us accountable if we ignore Him. He has chosen us and expects us to
respond to Him by turning from all sin and surrendering absolutely to Him through Jesus
Christ. We have only heard the Gospel
because of the grace of God toward us Romans 6:1-2.
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? ”
omans 6:15.
“What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly
not!”
Romans 6:23.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our
Lord.”. God gift cant be abused or can be taken for granted. Judas iscariot was a chosen
vessel and a disciple of Jesus Christ, but he lost his salvation Math 26;24. the wages of sin
results in spiritual death for wilfully abusing the divine grace of God .
If ther is a doctrine called “ once saved always saved” ,why does the Bible has to say in Phil
2;12 work out your own salvation with fear and trembling?.
“For if we go on deliberately and willingly sinning after once acquiring the knowledge of
the Truth, there is no longer any sacrifice left to atone for [our] sins heb 10;26
heb 6;4
Mat 7;14Jesus said, “Narrow is the gate and difficult is the way, which leads to life, and there
are few
who find it.” (Matthew 7:14). Many are called few are chosen
Bible doesn’t say that those who are saved have guarantee that they will inherit eternal life
unless the person keeps HIS commandments and lives according to the Bible and grows
spritually
1 peter 2;20,21, if they again entangled in the pollutions of the world the end is worse than
the begining, here Peter is talking about the saved and warning that their deeds would make
them to lose salvation
God expects true repentance , not falling in sin and saying sorry every time and continuing in
the same direction “Therefore bring forth fruits worthy of repentance”
Matthew 3:8
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the
heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the
good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew
them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God,
and put Him to an open shame.
The above verse clearly depicts that a believer who was saved and tasted heavenly gift can backslide
by drifting away from God and thus can lose salvation
Paul is writing to the believers that these things in Galatians 5:19-21 Ephesians 5:5 will
disqualify them from inheriting the kingdom of God .
Hebrews 2:1-3.
“Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we
drift away.
So the believers or the saved shouldn’t indulge in these things
ABSTAIN from
1 Sin
2 disobedience
3 immorality and fornication
4 falling away from truth
5 Unsanctification
6 unbelieving
7 lack of faith and holiness
Philippians 3:17-19.
“Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us
for a pattern.
Did apostles abuse the grace? . we are called to follow the pattern and example of
apostles to walk worthy with fear and trembling
Philippians 2:12.
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but
now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and
trembling;”
WORKOUT
On can work out salvation by
1. Keeping garments pure Rev 3;5 putting on righteousness Eph 5;27
2. Flee temptation 2 Timo 2;22 1 john 2;16
3. Fellowship with God 2 corin 13;14 1John 1;3 having a close relationship
with God like encoh,praying ,worship
4. Lead a overcoming life Rev 21;7 Heb 4;15 james 4;7 resisting the devil
5 Lead a victorious life : victory over sin, devil, lust of the world
6. Stand on in the word heb 4;12 and strong in the Lord Epehes 6;10
7. Obtain Grace and mercy daily Heb 4 ;15,16
8. Led by the Spirit of God Rom 8;14
A believer who is saved can lose salvation if one commits sin and continues in sin
without repentance and neglects God's mercy and abuses God's limitless grace .
When one is saved and commits sin often thinking that God's grace would enable
him to have time for repentance and if suddenly death meets that person, where
will that person's soul will go? And that soul has to end up in hell for ever or
grace will take that soul to heaven.? Grace abounds while living in earth . only the
over comers or the victorious will eat the tree of life Rev 2;7 , Rev 21;7
Finally
1. Run -that ye obtain the prize and obtain an incorruptible crown 1Cor 9;24-27
2. Fight- a good fight like St.Paul
3. Keep faith-till the end of the race to obtain a crown of righteousness 1 Cor 4 7,8
